You fight me and I’ll fight you
Will I turn red or you turn blue
And when one of us is dead
What’s the other gonna do
You might brag if you win
Will I think I’ve committed a sin
Do heroes live very long
In a world of everything wrong
I’m not sure where hate began
I didn’t vote for bare faced man
You were told to raise your hand
You admit you didn’t understand
Sides were taken battle plans laid
We all pretended none of us afraid
We were told you were to blame
You were told exactly the same
God was claimed by both sides
Isn’t he the one that decides
Who did he bless with a kiss
I’m not sure if he even exists
Soldiers never dare to ask why
We’re putting drones up in the sky
We’re bombing targets miles away
Without knowing of whom we slay
It seems much easier for those who lead
To stand at the back and watch us bleed
Wait a minute you think that too
Oh my god is none of this true
You seem to be a likeable guy
And like me you’re asking why
Who is it we’re fighting for
Politicians hiding behind that door
I’m sorry that I killed your friend
And I forgive you for killing mine
This is a war where honest people died
Just to prove how well our governments lied
